Abstract
The halecomorph genus Caturus is represented in Solnhofen by the species C. furcatus and the robust form C. giganteus. The anatomy of the skull of C. pachyurus is different form C. furcatus and C. giganteus, but similar to C. bellicianus a species known from Cerin and Solnhofen, originally described as Amblysemius bellicianus. The genus Amblysemius is revived, represented in Solnhofen by the species A. pachyurus and A. bellicianus.
