Influence of penetration depth of light on G-R noise in CdSe photoconductors

Abstract

A significant difference was found in the frequency dependence of g-r noise spectra of CdSe polycrystalline layers irradiated by light with photoenergies either larger or smaller than the bandgap. This difference was apparent only in the sublinear range of light intensities and was explained by the large difference in penetration depth in either case.
