Isobaric-spin relationships between nuclear spectra

Abstract

The simple fact that a one-body energy describes the interaction of a nucleon with a closed neutron subshell is used to establish sets of equations connecting the spectra of nuclei which are related by isobaric-spin when described by means of the nuclear shell model. Certain formal questions about isobaric spin are incidentally considered.
