Abstract

The urinary bladder can be affected by different, often rare bladder inflammatory conditions. Most of these conditions will have a profound negative effect on health and quality of life. Treatment of these conditions is challenging and will require multidisciplinary care. There are currently no guidelines for clinical treatment of this complex group of patients. This review offers an overview of the challenges that clinicians face when being confronted with a patient with an inflammatory bladder condition.
