Abstract
There is very little knowledge in the Netherlands of how economic private law and
public law are enforced in France. In France too, however, scant information can be
gleaned. There is little if any contact in the university community between criminal law
and administrative law, partly because criminal law is part of private law. French
academia is also characterised by its remoteness from practice.
