Abstract
An 87-year-old woman with a history of basal cell carcinoma and two breast carcinomas reported a nodule on the left thorax, clinically suspect for basal cell carcinoma. However, it appeared to be a metastasis of breast carcinoma. Further imaging revealed additional lymphogenic and ossal metastases, most likely metastases of the previous hormone-sensitive breast carcinoma, and first line endocrine treatment was started. This case illustrates the value of diagnostic skin biopsies, especially in cases with a complex medical history.
