Abstract
The microwave absorption spectrum is reported as well as rotational constants, dipole moment components, and centrifugal distortion constants of methylthioethyne. The spectra of two isotopic species of methylthioethyne were measured, namely, HCC---32SCH3 and HCC---34SCH3; the determination of the molecular structure therefore implies some assumptions about certain bond lengths and bond angles. The potential barrier to the internal rotation of the methyl group is derived from the observed doublet splittings.
