Abstract

The Cochrane Collaboration is an international non-profit organisation supporting the production and maintenance of systematic reviews relevant to health care. Since its founding the Collaboration has enormously grown, and currently it has more than 50 editorial groups. One of these, the Cochrane Stroke Group (CSG), from which both authors are members, had its 20th anniversary in 2013. The fact that CSG reviews are often cited in national and international guidelines underlines the importance for clinical practice. In the future emphasis will be put on keeping the reviews up-to-date, and prioritize among new proposals, in the growing amount of stroke literature to date.
