Adult L2 Acquisition of Italian Clitic Pronouns and 'Subject Inversion'/VS Structures

Abstract

"In this paper we will be primarily concerned with the acquisition of object clitic pronouns by a group of adult L2 learners of Italian with different L1s. The ultimate aim of our research is the adult L2 acquisition of Italian subject inversion structures displaying the VS order. However, since ‘subject inversion’/ VS structures, V a transitive verb, typically realize the direct object as a clitic pronoun in Italian"
