Abstract

SAMENVATTING Dit artikel is een inleiding voor de bestudering van leenwoorden, speciaal tussen Italiaans en Nederlands. Het behandelt de bestandopname, zoekstrategieën en taalkundige en sociale aspecten van de leenwoorden en geeft een aantal woordgeschiedenissen. RIASSUNTO Questo articolo è un'introduzione allo studio dei prestiti, specialmente fra italiano e olandese. Vi si trattano l'inventario, le strategie di ricerca e aspetti linguistici e sociali dei prestiti; inoltre si presentano alcune storie di parole. SUMMARY This article is an introduction to the study of loanwords, especially between Italian and Dutch. Arguments are the loanword inventory, research strategies and linguistic and social aspects of loanwords. A couple of word histories are presented.
