Opvoeding in en door sport?

Abstract

2004 is the European Year of Education through Sport. The European Commission believes that sport is a valuable instrument in creating more open and tolerant societies. Therefore it is necessary that sport and its values play a greater part in education. This article examines the relationship between sport and education. First, a description is given of the characteristics of competitive juvenile sports. In the second part of this article questions from educational points of view are addressed.
