Abstract

Flexible soware has been developed for the interactive mapping of socio-cultural phenomena in the Netherlands on the web. The possibilities of such soware are demonstrated for the mapping of migration in the Netherlands across four generations. Both the origin and dispersion of the population can be explored at the geographic levels ofmunicipality, region, dialect area and province.
