Abstract
The transferability of gas—solvent shifts for the vOH frequencies in several saturated cyclic and acyclic alcohols is examined. Shift averages are established for different kinds of OH rotamers. The established quantities can be employed for the accurate evaluation of vOH frequencies CCl4 and CS2 solutions from the corresponding gas values and vice versa.
