Chain initiatives likely to succeed

Abstract

This article is only available in DutchEstablishing the required co-operation in a chain and the needed chain-computerisation is unpredictable and takes time. To accelerate this process, chain initiatives are carried out. These chain initiatives take a lot of effort and commitment from the parties involved. However, observations show that many of the large-scale initiatives are not successful. Based on theoretical insights, five characteristics of a successful chain initiative are presented.
