Abstract
In this report we describe the energy consumption in 1995 and the energy saving options that exist within the iron and steel manufacturing industry (SBI/NACE 27.1-3) in the Netherlands. The data will be included in the ICARUS-4 database which gives an inventory of the technological options for energy savings for all economic sectors in the Netherlands. For all described measures the report provides data on the achievable energy savings up to the year 2020, investment and O&M costs and actual penetration data in the base year of 1995.
