Abstract

This book explores how the intertwined forces of technological change, globalisation, and migration are reshaping skills, labour markets, and inequality in Europe. Drawing on interdisciplinary research from the GI-NI project, it examines how automation, digitalisation, shifting trade patterns, and migration flows are creating new opportunities while deepening social and economic divides. The analysis highlights the limitations of traditional policy frameworks, calling for integrated and adaptive approaches that address the complex interactions among these forces. By linking rigorous research with policy innovation, the book offers a roadmap for fostering resilience, inclusion, and shared prosperity in an era of rapid transformation.
