Abstract
The application of permeabilized cells and membrane
fractions, which possess DNA-synthesizing
capacity, has stimulated considerably the study of
the mechanism of DNA replication in procaryotic
systems. A similar approach for the replication
of DNA in higher organisms has hardly been investigated.
