Abstract
This dossier charts and deepens our understanding of the nature, intensity, causes and impact of skilled mobilities in Europe, focusing especially but not exclusively on the mobility of and India. The collection of papers explores how skilled mobilities can be shaped, using different and creative means, to maximise the potential of these transnational movements between the multiple societies in which these ‘transnational brains’ (temporarily) participate on the one hand, and to alleviate less desirable outcomes on the other. The papers focus particularly on the institutions shaping these skilled mobilities trajectories.
