Abstract
It is proposed to eliminate the influence of the double layer capacity in a.c. polarography by applying a triangular voltage instead of the usual sine wave voltage. In the case of the triangular voltage the capacity current is a square wave that can be eliminated after full-wave rectification and filtering the resulting direct voltage. Any faradaic current is shown to keep an a.c. component after this operation. After a discussion of the theory, preliminary experiments are reported.
