Abstract
The article celebrates the 40th anniversary of the gender strand of the European network of legal experts in gender equality and non-discrimination (www.equalitylaw.eu) by looking back at its history in the context of EU gender equality law. It also discusses the current and possible future role and challenges of the gender strand of this equality law network.
