Abstract
This note shows that the construction of the bitensor algebra of a bialgebra (Brouder [2]) can be
understood in terms of the construction of the cooperad of a bialgebra (Berger-Moerdijk [1]), and
the construction of a bialgebra from a cooperad (Van der Laan [4], Frabetti-Van der Laan [3]).
