Abstract
The lecture focused on theatre as a perspective on contemporary media culture and starts from Chiel Kattenbelt's statement that 'all the world is a stage' is no longer a metaphor but has become reality.I use theatricality and performativity as two key concepts to characterize our media culture and argue that theatre can function as a meaningful perspective to understand that culture.
