Qualities Honours Students Look for in Faculty and Courses

Abstract

The article presents information on a research paper which analyzes the expectations of honors students from their courses in the Netherlands. The paper, based on the results of three surveys, says that the honors students not only look for academic competence but also seek individual freedom combined with a sense of community. It says that these students are motivated by knowledge, learning, and intellectual challenge, rather than grades and future careers like their non-honors peers.
