Abstract

Protoplast yield from Aspergillus niger can be low when using commercial lytic enzymes from Trichoderma harzianum. This study shows that the culture medium of T. harzianum after growth on A. niger cell walls is much more effective in protoplasting than commercial lysing enzymes.
