Abstract

This is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (Diagnostic test accuracy). The objectives are as follows: To assess the diagnostic test accuracy of PET(-CT), conventional and diffusion-weighted MRI as an replacement or an add-on to abdominal CT, for predicting tumour resectability at primary debulking surgery in patients with stage III - IV epithelial ovarian, fallopian tube and/or primary peritoneal cancer. To investigate the year of study initiation, the annual surgical caseload and whether surgery is performed by a gynaecological oncologist as possible sources of heterogeneity.
