Multimodality treatment in hormone-refractory prostate cancer patients with bone metastases

Abstract

We agree with the interesting points made by Koutsikos et al. They confirm the feasibility of the combined use of bone-seeking radiopharmaceuticals and bisphosphonates and highlight the potential benefit of this combined treatment. We would like to stress the importance to study multimodality treatment strategies in well-designed clinical trials.
